Senior Liability Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Liability Claims Adjuster to join a team. This role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving complex commercial and personal liability claims, including both litigated and non-litigated cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in policy coverage interpretation, liability assessment, and claims resolution strategies. Compensation Package

• Salary: Up to $105,000 annually (DOE).

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial and personal liability claims.
• Analyze policy language to make well-supported coverage determinations.
• Manage litigated claims from assignment through resolution.
• Assess liability, damages, and overall claim exposure.
• Establish and monitor appropriate reserves.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer and subrogation opportunities.
• Develop and execute effective claims-handling strategies.
• Negotiate settlements through direct negotiations, mediation, and arbitration.
• Collaborate with defense counsel, insureds, claimants, agents, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare coverage denials and communicate claim decisions clearly.
• Maintain accurate and thorough claim documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide claims-related guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in court proceedings or litigation-related activities as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of claims-handling experience.
• Expertise in handling commercial and personal liability policies.
• Strong experience managing litigated claims.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret policy language and evaluate coverage.
• Proven negotiation skills, including experience with mediation and arbitration.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
