Insurance Store Manager
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Insurance Store Manager with a strong producing background to lead daily operations while managing and growing a diverse book of business. This role oversees Personal Lines and Life and Health accounts, including home, auto, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, RVs, small business owners policies, and ancillary L&H products. The position requires hands-on production, team leadership, and expertise in writing annuities, including fixed and indexed products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong knowledge of Life and Health, Property and Casualty, and related insurance products
- Write annuities, including fixed and indexed options
- Serve as a producing manager by meeting personal production metrics while overseeing team performance
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of insurance producers to achieve individual and agency goals
- Drive growth of the agency’s book of business through new business development and retention
- Provide client support throughout policy writing and renewal processes
- Present policy options, coverage changes, and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner
- Ensure strong in-store operations, customer service standards, and workflow consistency
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and manage staff and support personnel
- Drive overall store sales and ensure the team meets or exceeds production targets
- Address day-to-day client inquiries and resolve service issues promptly
- Consistently meet personal and team production goals, including annuity sales
Qualifications / Requirements
- Active Oregon Resident P&C license and L&H license
- Management and leadership experience overseeing a team
- Desired knowledge in Medicare and working with annuities
- Previous experience in insurance and sales
- Familiarity with P&C carriers and coverages
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to produce high quality, professional informational materials for clients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain coverage details and implications
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
