Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting in business growth and retention. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Evaluate clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
- Prepare and present insurance proposals and renewals to clients
- Coordinate policy changes, endorsements, and claims, and ensure timely and accurate processing
- Analyze and review policy documents and endorsements for accuracy
- Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and insurance products to provide clients with the most relevant advice and solutions
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue business growth opportunities
- Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies to achieve account retention and growth goals
- Adhere to industry regulations and internal policies, procedures, and guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager, with expertise in managing accounts ranging from $0-$100k, $100k-$500k, and $500k+
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Proficient in insurance industry software and Microsoft Office applications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Relevant insurance designations such as AAI, CIC, or CRM preferred
Day-to-day
- Communicating with clients and underwriters to address inquiries and resolve issues
- Developing and presenting insurance proposals and renewal options
- Reviewing policy documents, endorsements, and claims for accuracy
- Collaborating with the sales team to identify and pursue business growth opportunities
- Adhering to industry regulations and internal policies
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and changes to ensure clients receive up-to-date advice and solutions
