Commercial Auto Claims Examiner - Pre-Suit - Bodily Injury

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team on a temporary, remote basis. This role involves handling non-litigated and litigated bodily injury (BI) commercial auto claims from across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial auto claims adjusting, including experience with attorney-represented cases and first- and third-party claims. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

Compensation Package

• Hourly Rate: $36 - $42 per hour
• Employment Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent hire)
• Remote Work: 100% remote

Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Auto Claims Examiner, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Investigating and resolving first- and third-party commercial auto claims, including bodily injury (BI) and uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims.
• Managing a caseload of approximately 150 features (100 claims).
• Conducting coverage analysis and identifying coverage issues.
• Evaluating and valuing injuries and damages, including moderate to severe injury claims (e.g., soft-tissue injuries, fractures, surgeries, etc.).
• Handling attorney-represented claims and responding to time-limited policy demands.
• Collaborating with experts such as physicians, attorneys, medical billing auditors, and accident reconstructionists.
• Maintaining claim files in accordance with established best practices.
• Obtaining and maintaining all required state adjuster licenses.

Qualifications/Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required (mandatory for candidates with less than 5 years of relevant adjusting experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years handling commercial auto claims.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing bodily injury claims involving attorney representation.
  • Experience handling claims from start to finish.
• Licensing:
  • Must possess a home state adjuster license and be eligible to obtain licenses in Texas and Florida (licensing costs covered by the company).
• Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in policy documentation review and coverage analysis.
  • Ability to formulate action plans and effectively present claim files.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
