Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to join a team. This position involves managing claims of medium complexity/severity, including litigated files, and requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 (with potential for higher compensation based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze Workers’ Compensation claims of medium complexity/severity, including litigated files.
- Collaborate and communicate with agents, policyholders, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and interpret commercial insurance policies to determine coverage and compensability.
- Develop and execute plans of action to proactively resolve claims, including timely evaluation of damages and negotiation of settlements.
- Establish and maintain accurate financial reserves for each claim.
- Engage and manage external resources, including legal counsel, to ensure proper claim resolution while controlling costs.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and company guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years handling Workers’ Compensation indemnity claims of medium complexity/severity, with jurisdictional expertise in Colorado (certification and licensing required).
- Skills:
- Strong litigation experience and ability to manage litigated claims.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Guidewire (Claims Center) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate state licensing as required.
- Travel: Ability to travel overnight up to 10% and daily between locations as needed.
- Equipment: Must have access to a personal computer.
