Seeking a dynamic and solutions-oriented Professional Lines Underwriter specializing in Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) to join a team. This role involves underwriting Errors & Omissions (E&O) and General Liability exposures, managing complex renewals, and driving new business opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Underwrite, price, and negotiate new and renewal MPL accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to drive new business production.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of professional liability risks.
  • Collaborate with the national MPL underwriting team to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Maintain high service standards for brokers and insureds.
  • Consistently exceed quote activity and production goals.
  • Attend broker meetings, industry events, and client visits to strengthen market presence.
  • Contribute to the growth of a profitable book of business and achieve underwriting results.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Professional Liability/E&O underwriting experience.
  • Strong sales and business development mindset.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate underwriting profit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
