General Liability Claims Attorney

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Claims Attorney to join a growing team in a fully remote capacity. This position is ideal for a highly skilled claims professional with extensive experience managing complex, high-exposure, and heavily litigated claims from inception through resolution. All necessary equipment will be provided. The Claims Attorney will be responsible for handling complex multi-line claims involving significant litigation exposure, coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and contractual risk transfer issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively navigate high-severity claims environments. 

Salary/Benefits:

•  $100,000 - $115,000 annual salary

Requirements: 

• 10+ years of multi-line claims handling experience
• Minimum 5+ years handling complex, high-exposure litigated claims
• Strong experience managing claims with significant legal involvement
• Proven expertise in:
  • Coverage analysis
  • Policy interpretation
  • Contractual risk transfer
  • Indemnity and additional insured analysis
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or strong legal background highly preferred
• Prior Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience
• Experience handling:
  • Construction defect claims
  • Construction liability claims
  • General liability claims
  • Large trucking losses

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage complex, high-exposure litigated claims through the full claim lifecycle
• Conduct detailed coverage analysis and policy interpretation
• Evaluate contractual risk transfer, including indemnity and additional insured provisions
• Coordinate with defense counsel, insureds, carriers, and other stakeholders
• Develop resolution strategies and negotiate settlements on complex matters
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and reporting
• Provide recommendations based on legal and claims analysis
