We are partnering with a leading insurance carrier seeking a Team Manager, Construction Claims to lead a team handling complex construction-related claims. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving claim strategy, developing talent, and ensuring best-in-class claims handling practices.
The ideal candidate is a proven claims leader with deep expertise in construction defect, general liability, and complex litigation.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Construction Claims Examiners handling complex, high-exposure claims
- Oversee claim handling activities to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices
- Provide technical guidance on complex coverage issues, litigation strategy, and claim resolution
- Monitor claim performance, including reserving accuracy, cycle times, and overall outcomes
- Partner with defense counsel and vendors to ensure effective litigation management and cost control
- Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, risk engineering, and senior leadership
- Conduct file reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives within the claims organization
Qualifications/Requirements
- 7+ years of claims handling experience, with a strong focus on construction defect and/or complex construction General Liability claims
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of construction claims, litigation management, and coverage analysis
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive performance
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; industry designations (CPCU, AIC, SCLA) are a plus
