Commercial Lines Agent
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Agent to join a growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small, collaborative office environment with a focus on building strong client relationships and driving new business. The ideal candidate will be sales-driven, possess a Property & Casualty (P&C) license, and have a passion for providing exceptional service to clients. This position also offers the potential for career growth, with the possibility of taking over the agency in the future.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $60,000 per year
- Commission: 50% on new business, plus revenue share on personal lines
- Benefits: Currently not offered, but open to discussion
- 401(k): Not currently offered
- Remote Work: Available for candidates in the DC or Baltimore metro area
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, focusing on restaurants, contractors, gas stations, and other general accounts.
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and other sales strategies.
- Quote and manage both new and renewal business.
- Utilize Hawksoft software to manage client accounts and streamline processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with a small, dynamic team to achieve agency growth goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
- Proficiency in quoting, cold calling, and generating new business.
- Familiarity with Hawksoft software is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to contribute to the growth of the agency.
- Interest in potentially taking over the agency in the future is a plus.
