Remote Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager- $100,000-$130,000
Our regional client is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our growing Customer Success team. The Senior Account Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining client satisfaction and loyalty by providing exceptional service and value to our clients. The Senior Account Manager is dedicated to client engagement, is responsible for the day to-day execution of client programs and is the direct liaison between the company and the client. The Senior Account Manager also supports the organization’s strategic, analytics, tactical and support functions to achieve the client and company objectives. The Senior Account Manager is an integral member of our team reporting directly to the Director of Client Services.
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10 years of professional experience in employee benefits account management and customer service
- Current life, accident & health license
- Understanding of key CRM strategies related to acquisition, retention, and reengagement.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and effectively problem solve; ability to analyze problems and produce a viable solution.
- Strong project management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Creating and implementing customized tasks as assigned
- Analytically minded, specifically comfortable with data and trends
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities and multitask.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be resourceful and adaptable.
- Aptitude for learning new products and subject matter, and helping others learn as well.
- Willingness to dive right in and affect change.
- Proficient in both fully insured and self-funded markets
- Key market knowledge for CT, NY, & NJ
Responsibilities:
- Provide account team product leadership while developing strong relationships with clients.
- Manage daily transactions and service requests for an assigned book of business –enrollments, terminations, coverage analysis, claims resolution, EOB review, file appeals, policy reviews etc.
- Review contracts as needed.
- Support brokers through the renewal process.
- Manage renewal strategy and report preparation.
- Market certain lines of coverage as determined by the client broker.
- RFP development and send out.
- Review carrier quotes for accuracy.
- Analyze, interpret and illustrate quotes.
- Manage client proposal preparation (participate in presentation as needed)
- Manage post open enrollment process (summary plan description preparation, CMS filing, coordinate critical service outputs i.e., certificates of insurance, etc.)
- Ensure clients continued compliance with health care reform and ERISA.
- Manage and update compliance timelines.
- Produce and manage new client onboarding system.
- Ensure proper utilization of resources to benefit the client (actuarial, claims analytics, loss control, etc.)
- Attend required training sessions, courses, etc. to develop and maintain up-to-date skills and product knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Predominantly Remote (Office Locations in Pelham, NY & Fairfield, CT)
