Position Overview

As a Personal Lines Producer, you will be responsible for generating new business and servicing a growing book of personal lines insurance policies. You’ll work closely with our in-house team and carrier partners to quote, bind, and maintain auto, home, renters, umbrella, and other personal lines products.

This is a sales-focused role with a base salary of $42,000 to $52,000 plus uncapped commission. Most producers earn $3,000–$5,000/month in commission in their first year, with second-year producers typically earning $6,000–$8,000/month in commissions as their book of business grows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new personal lines business through outbound calls, referrals, networking, digital marketing, and community outreach. Along with all of our internal warm leads from our commercial lines department

  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions

  • Prepare and present customized insurance quotes from multiple carriers

  • Close new business and manage follow-up processes

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and cross-selling opportunities

  • Keep current with industry trends, product knowledge, and compliance requirements

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance metrics


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of sales experience

  • New York State Property & Casualty license

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM and quoting systems, experience with Applied Epic is a plus but not required


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $42,000 – $52,000 (based on experience)

  • Commission: Uncapped; average first-year producers earn $3,000–$5,000/month in commission, with $6,000–$8,000/month typical by year two
