Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provide advice and counsel on personal lines matters to clients within an assigned personal lines book of business.
- Meet daily servicing needs of our clients.
- Ensure maximum retention of assigned personal lines book of business, and work pro-actively to re-market policies whenever appropriate.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outstanding customer experience to the client through communication and willingness to help.
- Maintain renewal and expiration lists for client policies.
- Complete quotes on renewing insurance policies through online rating tool or carrier websites.
- Round out monoline accounts by offering quotes for additional lines of business.
- Create auto ID cards.
- Run various reports, scanning, processing of policies and policy changes.
- Maintain relationships with carrier underwriters.
- Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines.
- Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
- Perform special projects or other duties at management’s request.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail is necessary.
- Must project a positive attitude, be approachable, and exhibit a professional appearance, manner, and demeanor.
- The candidate must maintain an organized work environment and perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division).
- Prior insurance experience is required and a working knowledge of AMS360 is a plus.
- Candidate must have a General Lines Property & Casualty insurance license per state requirements.
- Candidate must possess a 'team' mentality and display the ability to successfully work within a team structure.
- Minimum two years’ experience in similar position is desirable.
