Commercial Insurance Account Executive Team Lead
Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of individuals in delivering outstanding client service and operational excellence. Take charge of renewals, manage client relationships, and drive business growth through strategic recommendations and cross-selling opportunities. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Coordinate team activities, ensuring timely completion of renewals, endorsements, and client service requests.
- Set clear objectives for team members and monitor their performance against established goals.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving high levels of client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of the renewal process, setting clear expectations with clients and carriers.
- Maintain excellent communication with key clients, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Handle escalated client issues and provide resolutions in a prompt and professional manner.
- Review insurance submissions and carrier quotations to ensure optimal coverage solutions for clients.
- Oversee contract reviews, premium audits, and policy implementations, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts and recommend new lines of coverage tailored to client needs.
- Support marketing efforts by preparing client presentations and presenting insurance options effectively.
- Stay informed about industry trends, underwriting requirements, and carrier guidelines to provide accurate advice to clients and team members.
- Maintain relevant certifications and participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, carriers, and team members.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial lines insurance products and proven expertise in providing strategic advice to clients.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
- Holds an active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
- Preferred Agency Management System Experience: ImageRight, Nexsure
- 7-10 years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
- Previous experience handling a large book of business (preferably in hospitality) is required.
- Previous team lead experience is required.
- Holds at least one professional designation or has comparable job experience.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
