Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Insurance Department Manager to join our client's team and drive growth of the department. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for overseeing the CL Account Management Department, managing a team of 15-20 employees.  

Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lines Department
- Lead and manage a team of 15-20 employees, including training, performance evaluations, and team development
- Service a book in premium, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Handle new and renewal business quoting, including negotiating terms and conditions
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and retain business, meeting and exceeding revenue targets
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers, clients, and underwriters
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives

Qualifications/Requirements
- 10+ years of proven experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial lines
- Active P&C (Property & Casualty) license in good standing
- Proficiency in EPIC software and other relevant industry tools
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven track record of effectively managing a large book of business
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

Position Title: Insurance Team Lead

Business Unit: INSA

Reports to: Varies

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for leading a team of Account Managers/Client Advocates/Account Executives (CL/EB/PL) including planning, coordinating and controlling activities of the service team to maintain and enhance customer relationships, meet organizational and operational objectives and ensure all processes and service levels are consistently achieved.  The incumbent ensures both new and current staff members receive the necessary job training and have the necessary tools to maximize their effectiveness, provides day to day direction and addresses questions as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Services and retains an assigned book of business.  Maintains assigned customer accounts and provides all services essential to high quality customer service which include collaboration with Sales and other Service/Support areas.

Oversees activities of the Service Department and assures the smooth operation of the department when responding to internal and external requests.  Monitors and reviews the consistent and timely delivery of proposals, policies, endorsements, invoices, audits, cancellations and correspondence to clients.

Assists in the determination of the appropriate level of service for each client and ensures these levels of service are delivered in a consistent manner.  Works with internal partners, operations, staff and producers to improve client satisfactions levels and service levels.

Provides assistance to the internal team and is available to answer questions on procedures or coverage when necessary.

Continually reviews policy and procedures manuals to ensure they reflect best practices in all areas.

Manages the training of the service team to ensure they have the appropriate skills and tools necessary to ensure the highest level of client service including helping to prioritize and provide direction as needed.

Conducts performance appraisals, provides on going coaching and development feedback and if needed, coordinates appropriate disciplinary measures.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Employee Benefits Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and work with a diverse range of clients in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Employee Benefits team in managing carrier relations, workflow, and compliance
• Handle accounts as needed, including quoting new and renewal business for fully insured, self-funded, and level-funded plans
• Work on a floating book with a total of $6M among the team, handling groups of 2 to 1500+ and managing a book of business with a significant number of policies

Qualifications:

• L&H license required
• 5+ years of agency experience, with a high level of Account Executive or leadership experience
• Proficiency in Applied EPIC software
• Strong project management skills and experience with compliance-related work for Employee Benefits plans
• Extroverted personality with the ability to flex to various stakeholders, including producers

Day-to-day:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Employee Benefits team, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role will involve working closely with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and support.
