Healthcare Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join a team. In this role, you will manage and service a portfolio of complex healthcare accounts, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare-related organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, particularly in healthcare-related risks, and possess hands-on experience with Applied Epic. Responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of healthcare-related commercial insurance accounts.
• Oversee the full account lifecycle, including renewal preparation, marketing, binding, policy issuance, and ongoing servicing.
• Identify coverage gaps, exposure changes, and opportunities to enhance client protection.
• Coordinate the annual renewal process, including gathering exposure information, preparing submissions, reviewing loss runs, and completing applications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams.
• Market and remarket accounts to appropriate insurance carriers.
• Review quotes, proposals, binders, endorsements, and policies for accuracy and coverage adequacy.
• Prepare client-facing insurance proposals and coverage comparisons.
• Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, evidence of property coverage, auto ID cards, cancellations, audits, and other servicing requests.
• Assist clients with claims-related inquiries and coordinate with carrier claims representatives as needed.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and workflows within Applied Epic.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all client requests and renewal activities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance.
• Proven experience servicing healthcare-related commercial accounts is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverages, endorsements, exclusions, and healthcare-specific exposures.
• Experience managing complex middle-market and/or large commercial accounts.
• Proficiency with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in policy and coverage review.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters.
