Employee Benefits Consultant
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employee Benefits Consultant to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your expertise will play a key role in managing and expanding a client portfolio. As an Employee Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for end-to-end account management, including client-facing meetings, quoting new and renewal business, and working with a wide range of clients, including self-funded national employers.
This position is ideal for a professional with 4-6 years of experience in employee benefits consulting who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Commission: 4% book commissions, with total compensation potential of approximately $120,000 - $130,000+
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package (details to be provided)
- Work Environment: Onsite, 5 days per week
- Travel: Minimal travel required, primarily within the local area
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end client relationships, including conducting client-facing meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Handle a wide range of accounts, from small businesses to self-funded national employers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Quote and manage both new and renewal business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless and efficient client experience.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and alignment with their organizational goals.
- Utilize EPIC software to manage accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to the growth of the company by identifying opportunities to expand the client base.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, with a proven track record of managing client accounts end-to-end.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC software or similar account management tools.
- Client-Facing Expertise: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with self-funded national employers and a variety of account sizes and complexities.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support colleagues across teams.
- Education: Relevant licensure or designations preferred but not required.
