Personal Lines Insurance Assistant
Location: Garden City, NY (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid – in-office / remote flexibility
Systems: AMS 360, Microsoft Excel
Salary: $50k-$60k hourly- Eligible for Overtime
Position Overview:
Our client, an established insurance agency, is seeking a detail-oriented Personal Lines Insurance Assistant to support their Personal Lines team. This role is heavily focused on back-end administrative work, requiring strong organizational skills and advanced Excel proficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting account managers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Personal Lines team
- Maintain and update client and policy data within AMS 360
- Manage and organize large datasets using Excel (tracking, reporting, auditing)
- Assist with policy processing, documentation, and internal workflows
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and internal documentation for the team
- Support renewal preparation and general account servicing tasks
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all data entry and documentation
- Collaborate with account managers to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Personal Lines insurance required
- Strong working knowledge of AMS 360 highly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data management)
- Experience supporting account managers or service teams is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Additional Preferences:
- New York insurance experience strongly preferred
- Must be commutable to Garden City, NY for a hybrid schedule
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
