Job Title:  Subrogation Coverage Attorney

Location: Stevens Point, WI. Hybrid Tues-Thurs in office. 
Salary: $135,000 – $200,000 + 12.5% bonus target + 401K matching + Generous PTO

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Subrogation Coverage Attorney to support subrogation and insurance-related matters. This role will focus on analyzing coverage issues, advising claims teams, and handling complex legal matters to support effective claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal analysis and develop coverage opinions to guide claims professionals and leadership
• Analyze, research, and support subrogation matters, including asserting legal positions
• Evaluate complex insurance coverage issues and applicable laws across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage a caseload of litigated matters, including high-exposure and multi-party claims
• Support resolution strategies through mediation, arbitration, settlement, and litigation
• Collaborate with and oversee outside counsel to ensure consistent and high-quality case handling
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address legal risks and drive effective outcomes

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) required
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably within insurance coverage or subrogation
• Experience handling litigation, including depositions, court appearances, and dispositive motions
• Trial and/or federal court experience preferred
• Active license to practice law in good standing
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex or high-conflict situations
