Commercial Auto Claims Examiner - PD Only (No BI/Litigation)
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team. This is a fully remote, temp-to-hire position offering a unique opportunity to work with a reputable and financially strong insurance company. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and resolving all components of first and third-party auto claims, with a focus on property damage (PD) claims. This role requires a solid understanding of auto claims adjusting practices and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
As a Commercial Auto Claims Examiner, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Investigating losses and identifying coverage issues.
- Handling non-litigated commercial auto claims, including property damage (PD) only.
- Managing claims from across the United States with an average caseload of 135-160 claims.
- Obtaining and reviewing estimates, evidence, reports, and medical records.
- Handling first-party and third-party damages, including total loss, fire, theft, and glass claims.
- Establishing damages and reserves, processing payments, and evaluating injury demands.
- Taking recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
- Maintaining claim files in accordance with best practices.
- Obtaining and maintaining all required state licenses.
Qualifications/Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience handling commercial auto claims, with a preference for candidates with experience in total loss claims (2+ years) and cargo claims (1-2 years).
- Licensing: Must possess a valid home state adjuster license and be eligible to obtain licenses in Texas and Florida (licensing costs will be covered).
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in investigating coverage and writing coverage letters.
- Experience presenting files in roundtable discussions.
- Strong organizational, time management, and computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Preferred Knowledge:
- Familiarity with salvage platforms.
- Experience handling property damage claims.
- Proven record of top-tier performance ratings.
