Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join a team at an independent insurance agency. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a designated book of business, focusing on personal lines insurance such as home, auto, umbrella, renters, and specialty policies. Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal lines book of business, including home, auto, umbrella, renters, and specialty policies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering responsive and consultative service
  • Conduct renewal reviews and proactively remarket accounts when necessary
  • Prepare new business and renewal quotes using multiple carrier platforms and comparative rating systems
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements
  • Review policies for accuracy and identify coverage gaps, providing appropriate recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and service representatives
  • Assist producers with cross-selling and account rounding opportunities
  • Document all client communications and activities in the agency management system
  • Support client retention initiatives and contribute to the agency's growth objectives

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal lines insurance within an agency setting
  • Proven experience working with multiple insurance carriers
  • Strong understanding of coverage forms and underwriting guidelines
  • Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied, Vertafore, etc.); experience with AMS360 is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
