About the Role:
We are working with a growing independent insurance agency in New Jersey that is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team. The Operations Manager will have overarching responsibility for all day-to-day operations. Ideal candidate has experience running the office for a small to mid-sized insurance agency, experience running a book of business, and managing account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Management- oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies, and providing support to employees.
- Handle various administrative tasks for the office. Provide general administrative support to employees, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence. Act as the main contact for office-related issues.
- Has a working knowledge of the agency management software (Vertafore).
- Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Act as Team Lead and monitor production and monthly goals for 3 account managers and a team of 6 sales members.
- Fosters and maintains relationships with current carriers.
- Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.
- Oversees company operations along with Partners to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
- Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, and management.
- Supports the Partners in all aspects of the business and operations.
Skills:
- 5 + years of Operations Manager experience from an insurance agency required.
- Property & Casualty agency management system preferably Vertafore.
- Must have experience running a book of business.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong insurance knowledge.
- Creative problem-solving skills along with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
Compensation Package:
- Compensation: Between $80k-$100k (based on experience)
