CGL Senior Claims Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated CGL Senior Claims Specialist to join a team. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of commercial general liability claims, with a focus on developing and implementing effective resolution strategies while delivering exceptional customer service.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $83,000 - $156,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and expert analysis of claims facts to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
- Analyze and interpret policy language and case law to reach appropriate coverage decisions and draft coverage correspondence in compliance with state statutes and regulations.
- Promptly conduct comprehensive claims investigations, establish accurate reserves, and pursue timely and appropriate resolutions.
- Prepare and present reports for management on loss development, financial exposures, risk transfer, reserve adjustments, and claim resolution strategies.
- Resolve claims through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration with minimal assistance.
- Address inquiries from brokers and policyholders, providing superior customer service.
- Attend and participate in industry-related conferences, seminars, and webinars, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies in claims handling.
- Participate in projects and corporate initiatives such as audits, task forces, and focus groups.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- JD degree is a plus.
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience handling commercial general liability claims.
- Proven experience managing litigated claims and working with defense counsel.
- Demonstrated success in claims resolution and negotiation.
