Commercial Lines Account Manager – Small Business Team

$70,000 – $85,000 | 3–5 Years of Experience Preferred

Our client is a small, independent, family-owned insurance agency based in Union, NJ, with a total agency book of approximately $60M. They offer a professional yet warm and close-knit work environment, valuing long-term relationships, collaboration, and high-quality service without the feel of a large corporate structure.
Position Overview:
We are partnering with this agency to find a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their Small Business team. This high-priority role is responsible for managing a ~$1M book of small commercial accounts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling the full account lifecycle (excluding billing) and contributing to new business efforts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a ~$1M book of small commercial business accounts

Handle all day-to-day service needs (A–Z, excluding billing)

Process renewals, endorsements, certificates, and policy changes

Maintain strong client and carrier relationships

Accurately document all activity in AMS360

Occasionally assist with new business quoting and onboarding

Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional client service
Qualifications:

3–5 years of commercial lines account management experience (small business focus preferred)

AMS360 experience strongly preferred

Background working with multiple carriers

Strong organizational and communication skills

Able to work independently in a team-oriented environment

Active P&C License required
Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 5 days in-office (Union, NJ)
Compensation:

Competitive salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)
