Job Summary:

They are currently seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist to join their team and provide critical administrative and operational support to their underwriting department. 

COMPENSATION:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or support role within the insurance industry (underwriting support experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology and workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance-related software systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to underwriters and underwriting managers.
  • Review and enter insurance applications, endorsements, and renewal documents into internal systems.
  • Communicate with agents/brokers to gather missing information or clarify application details.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
  • Maintain and update underwriting files and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform data entry, quality control, and document management tasks.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g., Claims, Compliance, Actuarial) as needed.
