About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager or Account Executive to join our growing team. This is a critical role supporting some of our largest client groups, with a strong focus on self-funded medical plans. The role is currently open because the workload has been spread across the team, and we’re now ready to bring on a dedicated expert.
You’ll partner closely with a Benefits Consultant to manage renewals, build client strategies, and deliver outstanding service across a range of benefits lines, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Spending Accounts, Group Life & AD&D, Disability, and Voluntary Benefits.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and negotiate client renewals alongside the Benefits Consultant

Prepare and present renewal strategies and recommendations

Build strong, proactive client relationships and act as the point of escalation for complex issues

Develop and distribute employee communication and enrollment materials

Present and explain financial and claims reporting to clients

Identify opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell strategies

Ensure compliance with performance guarantees and service expectations

Oversee benefits accounts and manage both internal and external communications

Assist in developing re-enrollment strategies and maintaining client engagement

Occasional travel for client meetings as needed
What We're Looking For

Licensing: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in employee benefits

Preferred: Experience working with self-funded clients (willing to train the right candidate)

Strong knowledge of benefit plan structures and funding arrangements

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
