About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager or Account Executive to join our growing team. This is a critical role supporting some of our largest client groups, with a strong focus on self-funded medical plans. The role is currently open because the workload has been spread across the team, and we’re now ready to bring on a dedicated expert.

You’ll partner closely with a Benefits Consultant to manage renewals, build client strategies, and deliver outstanding service across a range of benefits lines, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Spending Accounts, Group Life & AD&D, Disability, and Voluntary Benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and negotiate client renewals alongside the Benefits Consultant

  • Prepare and present renewal strategies and recommendations

  • Build strong, proactive client relationships and act as the point of escalation for complex issues

  • Develop and distribute employee communication and enrollment materials

  • Present and explain financial and claims reporting to clients

  • Identify opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell strategies

  • Ensure compliance with performance guarantees and service expectations

  • Oversee benefits accounts and manage both internal and external communications

  • Assist in developing re-enrollment strategies and maintaining client engagement

  • Occasional travel for client meetings as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Licensing: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in employee benefits

  • Preferred: Experience working with self-funded clients (willing to train the right candidate)

  • Strong knowledge of benefit plan structures and funding arrangements

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills

Soft Skills That Make You a Strong Fit

  • Team player with a collaborative attitude

  • Hard-working and detail-oriented

  • Confident in client interactions and strategy discussions

  • Proactive and able to manage deadlines independently

  • Adaptable and quick to learn in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $55K–$85K depending on experience

  • 401(k): Available

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance

  • PTO: 16 days to start + 11 paid holidays

  • Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in-office / 2 days remote

Interview Process

  • 2–3 steps total

  • Phone screen, followed by video and/or on-site interview

  • Quick turnaround for decision and offer
