Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to manage and retain a book of group benefits clients while delivering high-touch, customer-centric service. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of benefits regulations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and service existing group benefits accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients
- Conduct presentations for new business, renewals, and open enrollment meetings
- Prepare quotes and proposals for group health and ancillary benefits
- Respond to client inquiries related to claims, eligibility, coverage, and costs
- Accurately enter and update client data in the agency management system
- Stay current with federal/state regulations and industry trends impacting employee benefits
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution
- Uphold client confidentiality and ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to support client initiatives and continuous process improvements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Active Life & Health License required
- 3+ years of experience in employee benefits account management
- Proven experience managing client relationships and servicing group benefits accounts
- In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and quoting/renewal processes
- Experience with BenefitPoint or similar agency management systems preferred
- Professional designations are a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
