Job Title: Director of Commercial Lines
Job Summary:
The Director of Commercial Lines will oversee all aspects of the Commercial Lines department, leading a large team of insurance professionals, including multiple team leaders. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial insurance servicing and leadership, particularly in managing large commercial construction and captive accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial skills and a collaborative mindset, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively. The Director will play a key role in driving departmental success and contributing to the company's culture of teamwork and continuous growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire Commercial Lines department, overseeing a large team of individuals, including several team leaders.
- Oversee the servicing and management of large commercial construction and captive accounts.
- Ensure operational efficiency, quality service, and adherence to best practices across the department.
- Foster a team environment that values collaboration, input from all team members, and long-term career development.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team leaders and staff to support career growth and departmental goals.
- Evaluate and refine workflows, processes, and strategies to meet company objectives and client needs.
- Represent the Commercial Lines department in leadership meetings, providing insights and updates on team performance and account management.
- Promote a positive and inclusive department culture, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial lines.
- Strong experience in commercial servicing and managing large accounts, particularly in commercial construction and captive accounts.
- Proven managerial experience, including leading and developing team leaders.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to drive departmental growth and improvements.
- Familiarity with captive insurance experience is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Compensation Package:
- Salary: Between $150K - $165K (based on experience).
