Our client is seeking to add a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to their Nevada Operations. This role will consist of handling mid to complex Nevada Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in Nevada Workers’ Compensation Law and have the ability to work remotely!
- Handle moderate to complex workers compensation claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
- Investigate lost time claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives; determine compensability under applicable state statutes.
- Communicate with medical providers to develop and authorize appropriate treatment plans.
- Review and analyze medical bills to confirm charges and treatments are injury-related and in accordance with the treatment plan.
- Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
- Must have active NV adjuster license
- Must Reside in Nevada
- Must be well-versed in NV Workers’ Compensation Law
- Must have experience handling litigated files
- Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Salary/Benefits:
- $80,000 to $93,000 annual base salary plus bonus
