Personal Lines Customer Service Agent

 

Job Summary

An established agency is looking for a Personal Lines Customer Service Agent to join their team. This position is responsible for quoting and selling personal lines of new business. In addition, this position is responsible for meeting monthly/yearly goals which are attached to a commission structure. Responsibilities

  • Quotes, delivers and sells all Personal Lines new business quotes.
  • Issues and Sends Evidence of Insurance.
  • Primary in issuing all Personal Line policies.
  • Handles underwriting issues on new business policies (under 60 days).
  • Maintains referral relationships.
  • Maintains up to date carrier and industry knowledge.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Assist in policy renewal processes.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required; College degree preferred.
  • Prior industry knowledge/insurance experience preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
  • Proficient in PC operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience with Carrier websites & Comparative rater websites.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Holds an active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
  • Preferred Agency Management System Experience: EPIC
  • Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
