Commercial Auto / Trucking Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Seeking experienced and motivated Commercial Auto / Trucking Claims Adjusters to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Third Party Administrator (TPA) specializing in Commercial Trucking Auto Liability Claims. The role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work environment, with a hybrid option. You will play a key role in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving commercial auto, trucking, and cargo claims while delivering exceptional service to the clients.

Compensation Package

• Property Damage / Cargo Adjusters: $67,000–$87,000 annually
• Bodily Injury Adjusters: $85,000–$120,000 annually
  Compensation is based on experience, claim complexity, and litigation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial auto, trucking, and cargo claims, including property damage, bodily injury, and cargo/freight claims.
• Handle complex and high-exposure claims, including attorney-represented and litigated cases.
• Conduct thorough investigations into coverage, liability, and damages, including directing on-site investigations when necessary.
• Develop and execute clear action plans for claim resolution, including negotiation and settlement.
• Prepare detailed reports and present summaries during client claim reviews.
• Identify subrogation or fraud potential and determine appropriate handling strategies.
• Maintain active adjuster licenses in relevant jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with insureds, brokers, carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and fair claim resolution.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of commercial claims experience in areas such as Commercial Auto, Commercial Trucking, Auto Liability, Property Damage, Bodily Injury, or Cargo.
  • Strong preference for candidates with attorney-represented BI and litigation experience.
  • Direct trucking experience is preferred but not required if the candidate has a strong Commercial Auto background.
• Licensing:
  • Active designated home-state adjuster license.
  • Ability to obtain reciprocal licenses as needed.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong claims judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of approximately 80–120 claims.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
