Actuarial Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Actuarial Consultant to join a team. This role involves supporting a Consulting Actuary in completing a variety of actuarial and consulting projects for insurance companies and self-insured entities. The ideal candidate will contribute to tasks such as rate level indications, class plan analyses, competitive research, benchmarking, reserve analyses, and more. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity from select states (CA, FL, NJ, NC).

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Update reserve studies with new or additional data.
  • Conduct technical reviews of formulas and data entry.
  • Perform competitive research to extract and summarize key information.
  • Extract and summarize annual statement data.
  • Complete actuarial transmittal forms for rate and rule filings across all U.S. jurisdictions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Completion of at least one Actuarial Exam.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access, and SQL.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
