Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Account Manager to join a team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in the insurance industry, specifically within independent agencies, who is ready to manage a robust book of business and contribute to our agency's success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with multiple standard carriers and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience)

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Account Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Quoting commercial lines directly with standard carriers and working with MGAs.
  • Setting up and generating Certificates of Insurance and commercial auto ID cards.
  • Managing multiple producers and handling some accounts from start to finish during renewal periods.
  • Marketing and quoting for both new and renewal business.
  • Cross-selling coverages to existing clients.
  • Processing endorsements online with carriers.
  • Invoicing through the agency management system (Newton).
  • Managing a desk premium size of $4,000,000+.

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an independent insurance agency. Candidates must have worked with multiple standard lines carriers within the last 12 months. Experience with direct writers (e.g., State Farm, Farmers, Progressive) will not be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using agency management systems, specifically Newton, is preferred.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work 100% in-office, Monday through Thursday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
  • Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
