Commercial Producer
Job Summary
Seeking dynamic and results-driven Commercial Producers to join a growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and manage a book of business in a supportive, family-oriented agency environment.
Compensation Package
- Commission Structure: 40/30 commission split with no minimum or maximum salary (based on experience and sales production).
- Book of Business: Start from scratch or we can assist in purchasing a book of business.
- Validation Period: Receding base salary over three years with a goal of validation within that timeframe.
- Additional Perks: Opportunities for trips, incentives, and recognition for top producers.
Responsibilities
- Act as a hunter producer, actively seeking and securing new commercial insurance clients.
- Build and maintain a robust referral network and centers of influence.
- Manage a generalist book of business, focusing on small to middle-market accounts (starting at $10,000+ in premium).
- Collaborate with a dedicated service staff to handle administrative and smaller tasks, allowing you to focus on client acquisition and relationship management.
- Leverage inbound leads distributed among producers to grow your book of business.
- Engage in regular travel to meet with prospects and insured clients, ensuring a strong local presence.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years of commercial insurance experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of commercial insurance experience.
- Open to considering motivated account managers looking to transition into a producer role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Epic software is a plus but not required.
- Soft Skills:
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources.
- Adaptable and coachable, with a willingness to embrace metrics and sales goals.
