P&C Insurance Producer
Job Summary:
The P&C Insurance Producer is responsible for generating new business and managing relationships within the commercial insurance sector. This role involves prospecting for new clients, conducting needs assessments, presenting tailored insurance solutions, and closing sales. The Commercial Lines Insurance Producer will also work closely with existing clients to ensure their commercial insurance needs are met and to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:
- Actively prospect and generate new commercial insurance business by identifying and targeting potential clients.
- Develop and implement strategies for prospecting and lead generation through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for prospective clients to understand their business needs and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
- Present tailored commercial insurance solutions, including property, liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, and other specialized coverage.
- Negotiate policy terms, pricing, and conditions with underwriters and clients to secure optimal coverage.
- Close sales and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with commercial clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Regularly check in with clients to review coverage, make adjustments as necessary, and identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell additional insurance products.
- Provide ongoing support for clients, addressing inquiries, explaining policy coverage, and resolving any issues or concerns.

Policy and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all client policies are accurately issued, updated, and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze clients' current insurance programs, identifying gaps in coverage and proposing enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and new insurance products to provide clients with the best solutions.

Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the account management team, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate service for clients.
- Provide clients with clear and timely communication about any policy changes, claims, or renewals.

Market and Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on changes in commercial insurance regulations, market trends, and new products.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the insurance marketplace, including competitor offerings, to better position your agency’s products.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system.
- Prepare and present proposals, insurance quotes, and contracts to clients.
- Document all interactions with clients, sales activities, and relevant updates in the CRM system.

Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Track sales activity, client meetings, and progress against sales goals.
- Report on performance metrics and provide regular updates to management regarding new business development, client retention, and pipeline status.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma required.

Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial insurance sales or a related field preferred (3+ years of experience).
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and business development success.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including property, casualty, general liability, workers' compensation, and professional liability.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close business and meet sales targets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate coverage.

- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a proactive approach to lead generation and sales.

Licensing:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a state insurance producer license for commercial lines.
