Training and Development Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Training and Development Specialist to join a team. In this full-time, in-office role, you will play a pivotal part in facilitating the training of staff on agency standards, procedures, and workflows. You will work closely with various departments to ensure consistent and effective training, while also contributing to the development of training materials and maintaining compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training sessions for all personnel on agency workflows and automation, both in-person and via Zoom for remote participants.
  • Train staff across various departments, including Commercial Lines (CL), Personal Lines (PL), Rating, Life and Health, and Support, while recommending and overseeing necessary workflow and procedural changes.
  • Collaborate with the Training & Development Manager to develop and host monthly Customer Service Representative (CSR) meetings.
  • Assist in the creation and recording of training videos.
  • Ensure training manuals are updated in a timely manner in collaboration with the Training & Development Manager.
  • Actively participate in the Errors & Omissions (E&O) Committee to ensure adherence to standards and train staff on updates or changes.
  • Serve as an active member of the Workflow Committee.
  • Attend seminars and courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain appropriate licenses and accreditations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Previous training experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Applied EPIC software is preferred.
  • A valid insurance license is required.
  • Commercial Lines Insurance experience is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to offsite locations for training sessions.
