Commercial Lines Account Manager, Middle Market

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead client service for middle and large accounts, collaborating with senior colleagues on strategy design and renewal processes. You will also have the opportunity to independently manage smaller accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $77,200 to $95,400 (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and business needs)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive service plans for clients.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in strategy meetings.
  • Conduct exposure reviews and perform gap analyses to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Collaborate on mid-market placements and work with Subject Matter Experts to streamline placement processes.
  • Review, finalize, and present proposals to clients.
  • Document client orders, ensure accuracy of binders, and oversee confirmation of coverage, policies, endorsements, and audits.
  • Participate in post-renewal and stewardship planning meetings for large clients.
  • Maintain account details, contacts, and policy information in EPIC.
  • Summarize loss history and current programs, including expiring exposures.
  • Draft finance contracts and create premium billing allocations.
  • Review carrier invoices and coordinate policy checks and audits.

Qualifications/Requirements

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance with a strong understanding of insurance coverages.

Professional Licenses/Certifications

  • Active state Property & Casualty insurance license is required.

Essential Skills/Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Comprehensive understanding of guaranteed cost program design and coverage forms.
  • Proficiency in self-serve portals and client training.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other relevant tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and minimal supervision.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
