Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects, providing expert guidance on their commercial insurance needs.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, referrals, and attending industry events.
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate clients' unique business exposures and recommend tailored insurance coverage options.
- Present and explain policy terms, coverage, and benefits to clients to ensure full understanding and satisfaction.
- Negotiate and secure competitive insurance packages with underwriting partners on behalf of clients.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and expand the client portfolio.
- Stay informed on market trends, industry regulations, and product knowledge to deliver accurate recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues and internal departments to ensure efficient processes and exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate client records, manage renewals, and address policy changes or claims when necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Insurance License: Active Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license required.
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a related field; a strong client book is a plus.
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals effectively.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building, networking, and client management abilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial insurance products, policy types, and coverages.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and insurance quoting platforms.
