Commercial Lines Account Manager, Middle Market

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support middle and large market accounts. This role focuses on leading client service efforts, supporting renewal and placement strategies, and delivering high-quality service. The position also includes independent management of smaller accounts, ensuring strong client relationships and consistent service execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive service plans for assigned clients.

  • Prepare for and participate in client strategy and renewal meetings.

  • Conduct exposure reviews and gap analyses to ensure appropriate coverage.

  • Collaborate on placements and coordinate with internal subject matter experts to streamline processes.

  • Review, finalize, and present proposals to clients.

  • Document client instructions, confirm coverage details, and ensure accuracy of binders, policies, endorsements, and audits.

  • Participate in post-renewal and stewardship planning for larger accounts.

  • Maintain accurate account data, contacts, and policy information within agency management software.

  • Summarize loss history and current insurance programs, including expiring exposures.

  • Assist with billing processes, including premium allocations and invoice review.

  • Coordinate with carriers on policy issuance, audits, and related documentation.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Property and Casualty insurance experience with a strong understanding of coverages.

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective client and internal relationships.

  • Working knowledge of coverage structures and program design.

  • Proficiency with client portals, Excel, and other relevant tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
