Job Description: Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between the company and commercial clients. This role involves ensuring insurance needs are met with accuracy, efficiency, and care. The position requires exceptional communication skills, a commitment to building strong client relationships, and a thorough understanding of commercial insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their business needs and insurance requirements.
- Policy Handling: Review, process, and manage commercial insurance policies, endorsements, renewals, and other documentation.
- Customer Support: Address client inquiries, resolve policy-related issues, and provide timely, professional support to meet their needs.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with underwriters, producers, and other internal teams to ensure seamless and accurate client service from start to finish.
- Needs Assessment: Analyze client risks and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options tailored to their unique business situations.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes and policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in agency management systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of industry trends, changes in regulations, and product updates to ensure clients receive the best guidance possible.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial insurance industry is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong expertise in commercial insurance products, policies, and coverages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a client-focused mindset.
Licensing/Certifications
- Active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License is required.
- Professional designations such as CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or CRM (Certified Risk Manager) are a plus.
