Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is pivotal in supporting a Benefits Department by managing client accounts, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits sales and servicing, with a focus on providing tailored solutions to meet client needs. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of employee benefits accounts, primarily for groups ranging from 2-50 lives, with occasional mid-market accounts (50-99 lives).
  • Handle both fully insured and level-funded accounts.
  • Create and manage online client portals (e.g., Employee Navigator).
  • Ensure client compliance management and provide annual compliance notices.
  • Quote, prepare, and present proposals for new business and renewals across all lines of coverage, including medical, ancillary, contributory, company-paid, and voluntary lines.
  • Prepare and host open enrollment meetings and educational sessions for employees as needed throughout the year.
  • Update internal CRM systems and maintain accurate client records.
  • Pull claims reporting for level-funded clients and review findings with clients.
  • Assist with bill audits and provide day-to-day service for company and employee contacts.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licensure: Active Life & Health (L&H) license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of employee benefits sales/servicing experience is preferred. Candidates with experience in captives are welcome to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied EPIC and EZ Lynx software is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with standard L&H products, including medical, ancillary, contributory, company-paid, and voluntary lines.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
  • Education: Relevant educational background or equivalent professional experience in the insurance or employee benefits field.
