Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and maintain strong client relationships with a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, carriers, and team members to assess client needs and provide customized insurance products and services.
- Deliver expert advice to clients by analyzing coverage needs and presenting comprehensive insurance solutions that align with their business goals.
- Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day client inquiries, providing timely and effective communication.
- Oversee policy renewals, endorsements, and claims management to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct annual client reviews to ensure coverage aligns with business growth or changes.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
- Handle escalations or complex account challenges while working collaboratively with team members to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Actively contribute to team goals, mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager in Commercial Insurance, with proven success in client management and portfolio growth.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in commercial insurance products, coverages, and carrier underwriting practices.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and client-service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to address complex client needs.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and insurance-related software.
Certifications/Soft Skills
- Insurance-related certifications (e.g., CIC, CRM, CPCU) are highly desirable.
