Personal Lines & Commercial Lines Agent & Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Lines & Commercial Lines Agent & Account Manager to join a team. In this role, you will take over an established $2M book of business, with accounts ranging from $1K to $40K (average account size is $10K). Initially, your primary responsibility will be servicing and managing the existing book of business, with opportunities to grow the portfolio in the future. This position requires a collaborative, teachable, and team-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonuses: Monthly team-based performance bonuses
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) and a generous vacation program
  • Work Schedule:
    • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute lunch break)
    • Occasional overtime may be required
    • Hybrid work flexibility may be available after 3-12 months, depending on experience and performance

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service an existing $2M book of business, including accounts ranging from $1K to $40K
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and inquiries are resolved promptly
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve monthly performance goals and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Assist with the transition and training process for the book of business, ensuring a smooth handoff
  • Handle a mix of personal lines and commercial lines accounts, including contractors and construction clients
  • Utilize AMS360 software for account management (training provided if necessary)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in personal and/or commercial lines insurance
  • Proven ability to manage and service a diverse book of business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • A teachable attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with AMS360 is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work in-office five days a week initially, with potential for hybrid flexibility after the onboarding period
