Personal Lines & Commercial Lines Agent & Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Lines & Commercial Lines Agent & Account Manager to join a team. In this role, you will take over an established $2M book of business, with accounts ranging from $1K to $40K (average account size is $10K). Initially, your primary responsibility will be servicing and managing the existing book of business, with opportunities to grow the portfolio in the future. This position requires a collaborative, teachable, and team-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonuses: Monthly team-based performance bonuses
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) and a generous vacation program
- Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute lunch break)
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Hybrid work flexibility may be available after 3-12 months, depending on experience and performance
Responsibilities
- Manage and service an existing $2M book of business, including accounts ranging from $1K to $40K
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and inquiries are resolved promptly
- Collaborate with the team to achieve monthly performance goals and contribute to a positive work environment
- Assist with the transition and training process for the book of business, ensuring a smooth handoff
- Handle a mix of personal lines and commercial lines accounts, including contractors and construction clients
- Utilize AMS360 software for account management (training provided if necessary)
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2-5+ years of experience in personal and/or commercial lines insurance
- Proven ability to manage and service a diverse book of business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
- A teachable attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
- Familiarity with AMS360 is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work in-office five days a week initially, with potential for hybrid flexibility after the onboarding period
