Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Underwriting Support Supervisor - Aviation to join a team. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence every 3 days out of the week. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the underwriting support team, ensuring high-quality output, fostering collaboration, and driving engagement. Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $68,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: 10% of base salary

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the underwriting support team by fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Oversee training and ensure the delivery of high-quality work by account management staff.
  • Coordinate and manage workloads to meet production and service expectations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, team meetings, and one-on-one discussions with staff.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive team engagement and create a motivating work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (7 years of relevant insurance experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance experience with exposure to leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting support processes and procedures.
  • Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms, as well as system testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
