Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated Commercial Lines Account Coordinator to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the Commercial Lines team by providing exceptional service and ensuring the efficient management of client accounts. Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Commercial Lines account management team.
  • Assist with managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare proposals, certificates of insurance, and policy documents in coordination with Account Managers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by responding to client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers and underwriters to obtain and review quotes, endorsements, and policy changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, policy renewals, and updates using the agency’s management system.
  • Identify potential opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell additional insurance products to clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, policy changes, and emerging risks to better serve clients.
  • Support compliance initiatives and adhere to company procedures, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance, account management, or a related role, preferably in Commercial Lines.
  • Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with insurance agency management software (such as AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar).
  • A proactive problem-solving attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
