Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in Quality Assurance and project coordination to join a team. Responsibilities

Business Systems Analysis, Testing & Project Delivery

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements by collaborating with end users and technical teams.
  • Evaluate existing workflows, processes, and system functionality to identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design functional requirements and solution approaches for complex system initiatives, including projects involving financial or policy-related calculations.
  • Develop and execute detailed test scenarios, test scripts, and plans to validate system enhancements prior to release.
  • Perform hands-on functional and user acceptance testing, including validation of calculations and outputs using various testing methodologies and tools.
  • Document testing outcomes, defects, and remediation steps; validate fixes prior to deployment.
  • Support system implementations and participate in post-release reviews to ensure objectives are met.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, testing schedules, status reports, and resource estimates.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and impact analyses to support prioritization and approval of system initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance, review, and secondary approval on work produced by other analysts on the team.
  • Offer training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing support to junior analysts and production support staff.
  • Assist with ongoing system support activities, including investigating production issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating resolution efforts with technical teams and users.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis with significant exposure to Quality Assurance and functional testing.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
