Job Description

Seeking an experienced Account Executive to manage and grow a book of employee benefits clients. The role focuses on delivering strategic consulting, exceptional service, and proactive renewal management across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and spending accounts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Retain and grow existing clients across all market segments
  • Conduct regular client meetings (claims/utilization reviews, compliance updates, pre-renewal strategy, renewals, open enrollment)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of client organizations
  • Lead the renewal process, negotiate rates, and recommend plan/design or funding changes
  • Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and new business strategies
  • Present benefits education, legislative/compliance updates, and industry trends to employers and employees
  • Prepare annual Stewardship Reports and quarterly Claims Utilization Reviews
  • Partner with internal teams to introduce new products/services and resolve client needs
  • Provide ad-hoc producer support and technological assistance (HRIS, benefit platforms, etc.)
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of employee benefits account management or service experience
  • Active Life & Health Insurance License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong relationship-building, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot client technology systems independently
  • Professional demeanor and client-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, V/XLOOKUP)
  • Bachelor’s degree
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote after initial onboarding period)
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional evening/weekend work and local client travel required (mileage reimbursed)
  • Rare overnight or out-of-area travel possible
