Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative – Remote (Midwest Region)
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative to handle lost time and litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions. This fully remote role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Determine compensability and coverage for lost time workers’ compensation claims.
- Manage a full caseload of claims from various jurisdictions within established authority levels.
- Direct outside investigations and handle litigation files as needed.
- Negotiate and recommend settlements in accordance with company standards.
- Collect and analyze medical and factual evidence to support claim decisions.
- Maintain consistent communication with claimants, attorneys, insureds, investigators, and medical providers.
- Collaborate with account liaisons and rehabilitation personnel to achieve optimal claim outcomes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Active Adjuster License with confirmed home state license.
- Minimum of 3 years of workers’ compensation claims experience (desk handling required).
- Jurisdictional experience in MN, TX, IL, MI, KY, MO, and/or IN preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and workers’ compensation laws.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior carrier experience preferred.
Compensation Package
- Compensation: Between $75K–$90K (depending on experience).
