Job Summary
Our client, a leading national insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Vice President, Cyber Underwriter to join their growing Professional Liability team. This role is ideal for an underwriting professional with a strong understanding of cyber risk, technology exposures, and the evolving cybersecurity landscape. The selected individual will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O business, managing broker relationships, and contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the portfolio.
Salary
- $180,000 to $220,000+/year
- Annual bonus target

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of Cyber and/or Technology E&O underwriting experience with a carrier or MGA.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber risk management and insurance coverages.
- Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Strong broker relationships and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional designations (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) preferred but not required.
Job Description
- Underwrite and price new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O submissions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Evaluate and analyze risk exposures, financials, and security controls to determine appropriate terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents across assigned territories.
- Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring profitable growth within underwriting authority.
- Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and product management teams to refine underwriting strategies and develop new products as needed.
- Stay informed of emerging cyber threats, trends, and regulatory developments impacting insureds.
- Contribute to the development of underwriting tools, guidelines, and best practices.
