Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Commercial Insurance / Administrative Assistant to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support for the commercial insurance division. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, fostering positive client relationships, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive success.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of insurance documents, client files, and reports.
  • Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Policy Management: Support policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims submissions.
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately enter and update client and policy information across multiple systems.
  • Account Assistance: Provide support for Account Managers in verifying coverages, processing applications, and quote preparation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all workflows comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, meetings, and other administrative tasks to support the commercial insurance team's efficiency.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze periodic reports to support decision-making and client presentations.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry knowledge and company products to provide more effective support.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within an insurance or financial services setting.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
    • Familiarity with insurance management software preferred.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of commercial insurance concepts, terminology, and processes.
    • Willingness to learn and grow within the field.
